Your information, handled with care
Privacy Policy
Here’s what CalmTech Support collects, why it’s needed, and how you can make choices about your information.
Effective and last updated:
You can browse and request a call without accepting analytics. Contact details are used to respond to you and arrange support. Optional Google Analytics 4 only runs if you accept it.
1. Who I am and policy scope
I’m Lily Barretto, owner and operator of CalmTech Support, providing personal Apple device help in Sacramento and Placer Counties, California. In this policy, “I,” “me,” and “my” refer to me as the owner of CalmTech Support.
This policy covers information collected through calmtech-support.com, its contact form, and communications about your consultation or support request. It also explains how information encountered during support is handled. It does not govern Apple, Netlify, Google, your healthcare provider, or other independent services you use.
2. Information I collect
- Information you provide: your name, phone number, email address if provided, preferred contact method, and any message you submit. An email address is required if you choose an email reply. You may also share scheduling details, a meeting location, and information about the help you need during follow-up communications.
- Technical information: when your browser requests a page or submits a form, the hosting and form providers may process your IP address, browser and device information, request time, requested URL, and security or spam-related information. This supports delivery, reliability, and abuse prevention.
- Your privacy choice: the site stores whether you accepted or rejected optional analytics, along with the time of that choice, in your browser’s local storage.
- Optional analytics information: if you accept analytics and GA4 is enabled, Google may process cookie identifiers, pages viewed, visit timing, browser and device information, referring website information, and approximate location derived from your IP address. These details help me understand website use.
Please do not put passwords, verification codes, payment card details, Social Security numbers, private medical records, or other sensitive information into the contact form or email. A brief description such as “help using my iPad” is enough. This website does not collect online payments or offer a customer account.
3. How I use information
I use information to respond to your request, arrange the free phone consultation, discuss and provide agreed support, communicate about visits, maintain necessary business records, and protect the website against misuse. If you accept analytics, I also use website reports to understand which pages are useful and improve the site.
A request for a call is permission to respond about that request using your preferred contact method. It does not sign you up for a marketing mailing list or consent to automated promotional calls or texts. You can ask me to stop follow-up communications.
During a support visit, I may see information on your device that is relevant to the help you requested. You decide which accounts or screens to open. Please enter your own passwords and verification codes rather than sending them to me. Information encountered during support is used for the agreed assistance, not for advertising.
4. Netlify Forms and contact requests
The website is designed to use Netlify hosting and Netlify Forms. When you submit the “Request a call” form, your submitted details are sent to Netlify for processing, spam screening, and storage in the site’s form dashboard. Email notifications are intended to deliver those details to my business inbox at info@calmtech-support.com. Email delivery also involves the email providers used to send and receive the notification.
Form handling is separate from optional analytics. Rejecting analytics does not stop you from using the form or contacting me. I do not send the form’s name, phone number, email address, or message to Google Analytics.
Netlify’s processing is described in its Privacy Policy. Please send only the information needed for me to respond. You can also call 916-619-9154 instead of using the form.
6. Browser privacy signals
The site treats a detected Global Privacy Control signal or a Do Not Track setting of “1” as a request to keep optional analytics off, even if this browser previously accepted it. The banner explains that analytics remains disabled while the signal is on. Normal hosting, security, and contact form processing still take place because they are needed to deliver the website and respond to you.
Browser signals are not implemented consistently across every device. If you want analytics off, you can also choose “Essential only.” Settings on this website do not change how another website responds to your browser.
8. Retention and security
Contact requests and correspondence are kept only as long as reasonably needed to respond, provide requested support, maintain necessary business or tax records, resolve disputes, or satisfy legal obligations. The appropriate period depends on the record and whether you become a client. Copies may exist in Netlify’s dashboard, the business inbox, communications systems, and provider backups; deleting a form entry alone does not delete its email notification.
Analytics retention depends on the GA4 property settings and the type of report. User-level and event-level retention settings do not necessarily remove aggregated reports. You can read Google’s data retention explanation or contact me with a question about a specific record.
I use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the information and service. The production website uses HTTPS to encrypt information in transit. No website, device, or email system can guarantee absolute security. Please limit what you submit and contact me if you believe information has been sent in error.
9. Your choices and privacy requests
You can decline analytics, change your cookie choice, use browser controls to clear stored data, choose how I respond, or call instead of submitting the form. I do not make consultation requests conditional on accepting analytics.
Contact me to ask about information held about you, request a correction or deletion, or ask that follow-up communications stop. Please describe your request and provide enough information to locate the relevant records. I may need to verify that the request concerns your information before disclosing or changing it; please do not send sensitive identity documents unless a suitable verification method has been agreed.
Privacy rights vary by location and by which laws apply to a business. Where applicable, these may include access, correction, deletion, portability, objection or restriction, withdrawal of consent, and opting out of sale or sharing. I will handle requests under applicable law and explain if information must be retained or a request cannot be fulfilled. Nothing in this policy limits your legal rights, including any right to contact a privacy regulator.
California visitors can learn about applicable consumer privacy rights from the California Attorney General. This policy does not assume that every law applying to larger businesses applies to CalmTech Support. I welcome privacy questions regardless of whether a particular statutory right applies.
10. Children and external links
The website is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. I do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information, please contact me so it can be reviewed and removed as appropriate.
Links to other websites, including the developer’s website in the footer, take you to independent services. Their privacy policies govern information collected there. I do not control their content, tracking, or security.
11. Changes to this policy
I may update this policy when website features, providers, business practices, or legal requirements change. The revised policy will appear on this page with an updated date. Where required, I will provide additional notice or request a new choice before using information in a materially different way.
